The conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including keynote speaker Prof Marc N Potenza, president-elect of ISAM, as well as regional experts and IMH colleagues. The first day of the conference covered a range of topics, from the detection and early intervention of behavioural addictions to understanding their economic and societal impacts. Discussions also touched on how behavioural addictions intersect with Singapore’s criminal law, providing a comprehensive overview of these disorders.
The ISAM Regional Conference provided a platform not only for sharing knowledge but also for meaningful discussions. Attendees were encouraged to ask questions to foster a dynamic exchange of ideas and learning. The conference welcomed both international speakers and local presenters, adding diverse perspectives to the sessions.
